CCU makes a remarkable achievement on saving electricity, and saves more than 40 million NT dollars in 8 years.

National Chung Cheng University has conducted a series of energy-saving measures since 2005, such as installment of power saving controllerfor air conditioners, replacement of old lighting devices, air conditioners, and heat pumps in CCU’s dormitories. It also installed solar panels on several places on campus. Since Taiwan government promoted the plan of “four savings”, CCU’s average annual electricity consumption has been decreased for 825 thousand Kilowatt-hour, far better than the government’s demand of 580 thousand Kilowatt-hour. Meanwhile, CCU also reduced its contract capacity of electricity,saving a total of NT$40,421,950 in 8 years, an outstanding result.
