About the Program The International Master Program in Global Finance is an English-taught program which was launched in the Fall semester of 2015 with the main focus in the practical application of financial/accounting/economics theories on global financial markets. This degree program attempts to cultivate financial elites with global perspectives and keen insight/understanding toward the operation of global financial markets. The main themes of this master degree program include:
       1. Engaging in interdisciplinary cooperation between finance, accounting, and economics,
       and between academic and industries.
       2. Cultivate students’ professional knowledge about the global operation of financial
       markets.
       3. Develop cross-bordered research/internship opportunities.
 
Curriculum plan and requirements
 
1. Multi-faceted engagement into finance and banking
Classes are conducted in English with diverse contents that cover interdisciplinary professional capabilities, investment and management of professional organization, language communication capability, and global viewpoints to cultivate financial and banking professionals with varied viewpoints.
2. Internship opportunity to fortify practical experience
During the summer, we cooperate with the four major domestic accounting firms, banking institutions, and governmental financial supervisory agency to offer internship opportunities in order the enhance the students' practical competitiveness and communication competency in the market.
3. Immersion of international views into daily life
In addition to domestic students, international students are recruited as well. The students can advance their strength in international financial market from the daily learning process through international exchange of different views.

 
Unique Features

1. Classes conducted all in English, the level of study is for master’s degree over a period of two years during which a minimum of 36 credits (including master dissertation, but not including basic prerequisites), and master dissertation with oral examination must be completed in order to receive a degree in International Master Program in Global Finance.
2. In order to cover both theory and practice, the students must already have completed the basic prerequisite classes, basic business administration knowledge. The courses are core requisites and professional electives with 3 credits for each class respectively.

 
Academic Staff The courses are conducted fully in English by 20 cross-department faculty members of the college who have both practical banking and finance background. Emphasis is placed on the ability to integrate interdisciplinary knowledge in financial banking, business administration, accounting, information, information management, finance and banking laws along with theory and practice of global banking market.
Scholarships The upper limit of subsidy period to master's students would be two years (four semesters), the exception application could be submitted with a reference from academic advisor and research results (included thesis writing program and thesis published) in the third year.
 
Employment Opportunities 1. Part-time jobs related to administration and teaching assistance fields will be provided for students.
2. The opportunity of being full or part-time research assistant will be provided based on the professor’s project.

Coronavirus update Regarding the influence of Coronavirus on the study, all the adjustment is based on the CCU’s accouchement.
 
Accommodation The Scholarship Award is adjusted according to the college regulations and the provisions for the University Scholarship Awards of each college and the annual scholarship budget of the University. The items are as follows:
      (1) Partial or total exemption of tuition and credit fees.
      (2) Partial or total exemption of miscellaneous fees.
      (3) Exemption from on-campus accommodation fees. Students who have withdrawn from
      the dormitory voluntarily, shall not be compensated by any amount.

      (4) Living stipend.
